Camlann Games and Evil Gingerbread Studio have announced Whispers of the Eyeless, a dark fantasy strategy RPG created by the team responsible for one of the most downloaded overhaul mods for the Total War: Warhammer franchise.

The upcoming game takes inspiration from Darkest Dungeon, Loop Hero, and Children of Morta, as well as Polish folklore. You’re tasked with leading a dark cult to glory in the medieval City of Aranthor.

You’ll need to infiltrate the city, upgrade your sanctum, level up your cult, and fight via turn-based combat to revive Dead Gods. The game features deep character customisation, a unique quest progression system, and promises hundreds of skills, powers, items, upgrades and locations to discover.

Whispers of the Eyeless has raised a 500% Kickstarter campaign to help bring the game to Early Access and full release, and Evil Gingerbread Studio aims to launch it into Early Access in late 2024 or early 2025 on PC via Steam and GOG.

Camlann Games CEO Slava Heretz said of the game: “Incredibly excited to be an additional part of bringing this game to life. From the art style, to the very satisfying gameplay loop, I’ve honestly been playing the demo pretty much non-stop for a while now.

“I’ve not tried all nine character classes. Each are unique and super fun to play. Each have their own strengths and weaknesses. I’m just as giddy and excited as the players who have already shown their overwhelming support during the Kickstarter.”
