WATCH – Nintendo Announces Spooky Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fall Update
Nintendo has officially unveiled a spooky Fall update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
The tech giant announced a brand new Fall update for popular life simulation game Animal Crossing: New Horizons which releases September 30th. The new update will include a month-long Halloween-themed event.
As part of the event, you can grow Pumpkins for the first time ever to craft brand new Halloween-themed DIY recipes. Pumpkin starts can be bought from Leif year-round or from Nook’s Cranny in October, and the vegetables can be used to craft special DIY objects.
From the beginning of October, you can purchase candy from Nook’s Cranny for Halloween night and can grab spooky costumes from Able Sisters. If that’s not enough, you can purchase body point and coloured contact lenses with Nook Miles.
The trailer also revealed that Jack, who has been described as the “czar of Halloween”, returns on Halloween night and can be found outside Residential Services with spooked-up villagers between 5 PM and midnight. You can earn special Halloween gifts and rewards by giving Jack and your villagers candy.
In addition, Nintendo announced that the NookLink service in the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app will now allow you to select reactions to perform in the game, including a brand new Haunt reaction.
At the end of the announcement video, Nintendo hinted at a November update which will seemingly include Franklin for a Thanksgiving-themed event, and potentially even Jingles for a Christmas-themed event.
