Tin Hearts gets Christmas update inspired by Die Hard
Christmas has landed in Tin Hearts as developer Rogue Sun and Wired Productions have released a new holiday update.
Paying homage to Die Hard, the update transforms the game’s playable tin soldier into vest-wearing and dirt-covered characters known as ‘Tim’ McClane.
The free update, which launched yesterday for all platforms, also transforms the remaining tin soldiers into Santa and Elf tin soldiers for some extra Christmas sparkle.
If you haven’t yet played Tin Hearts, the Lemmings-inspired title sees you solve puzzles and guide the game’s tin soldiers throughout several environments to their destination.
Throughout the course of the game, you’ll relive the story and life of inventor and tin solider-creator Albert J. Butterworth, and the tragedy that befalls his family.
I reviewed the game earlier this year on PlayStation, which I described as a “charming puzzle platformer with a heartfelt story” – anyone who likes cosy atmosphere, lots of puzzles, and a story that tugs on your heart will have a blast, particularly if you start playing the Play Hard update!
Tin Hearts is available now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The Christmas update will be available until January 10th, 2024.
