The Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria is getting a brand-new update and is finally coming to Xbox Series consoles and Steam.

Developer Free Range Games and publisher North Beach announced today (August 7th) that the survival crafting game based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy franchise, which is already available for PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store, will launch for PC via Steam and Xbox Series consoles on August 27th at a discounted price for a limited time.

On the same day, The Golden Update will release for all platforms, adding a Sandbox Mode that aims to offer different experiences with each playthrough, thanks to its procedural generation system.

The update also adds crossplay support for all platforms, 14 new weapons and armour that are only discoverable via Sandbox Mode, over 100 new building objects and cosmetic decorations, an ambient music soundtrack, a revamped building system with improved object snapping, the ability to pause the game while offline, and customisable difficulty.

Finally, the update will include numerous bug fixes and improvements for issues like multiplayer connectivity.
