The Callisto Protocol To Get New Game+ And Hardcore Mode In February
Developer Striking Distance Studios has announced post-launch content for The Callisto Protocol, which includes New Game+ and more.
The survival horror video game launched today (December 2nd) to mixed reviews and reports of disastrous performance on PC by players, but Striking Distance Studios has already announced that a Hardcore Mode and New Game+ will be added to the game as part of a free update on February 7th, 2023.
Alongside the free update, the studio revealed a roadmap for Season Pass DLC, which includes the Outer Way Skin Collection on February 7th, as well as a Contagion Bundle in March 2023, and a Riot Bundle in Spring 2023.
Finally, the studio announced that additional story content will be available next summer, with more details “coming soon”.
The news comes as the game has been hit with “Mostly Negative” reviews on Steam due to the poor performance on PC – with some issues on PlayStation and Xbox consoles too – and players have reported crashing, lag, and drops in framerates.
In a brief and now-pinned tweet issued earlier today, Striking Distance Studios acknowledged the issues and confirmed that the studio will release a patch soon to “improve performance” as well as a “number of additional updates on the way”.
The Callisto Protocol is available now on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and on PC via Steam.
