The Callisto Protocol has gone gold.

Developer Striking Distance Studios announced the news on Twitter, revealing that the survival horror game has gone gold ahead of its December 2nd release and is ready to be printed.

The news was announced in a tweet by the game’s official Twitter account, which included an image of the studio and a message of thanks to fans for their support and excitement.

The game, which is helmed by Dead Space co-creator Glen Schofield, is set in 2320 at the Black Iron prison on Jupiter’s moon Callisto. It follows prisoner Jacob Lee who, after inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, must find a way to escape the prison while uncovering dark and disturbing secrets of the moon.

The news comes after Striking Distance Studio reiterated a December 2022 release and confirmed that the game, in the wake of controversy over Gotham Knights and A Plague Tale: Requiem’s locked performance at 30FPS, will have a performance mode and support 60FPS.

The Callisto Protocol will release on December 2nd for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store and for all PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
