SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake To Get PS5 And Xbox Series Update
THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp have announced a free current-gen console update for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake.
The update, which will release on October 16th, 2023, will include a new Photo Mode with 19 filters and two costumes – King Doubloon for collecting all doubloons and Plush Gary for unlocking all rewards – for all platforms.
Meanwhile, the current-gen update will add DualSense controller audio support when picking up items, and adaptive trigger support when using the reef blower and swinging hook actions.
The update also includes several bug fixes for all platforms, including issues where saving stopped working, playtime failed to pause while loading, and improvements to the game’s stability.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake follows SpongeBob and Patrick as the pair traverse several unique WishWorlds to save their friends after throwing Bikini Bottom into disarray by playing with some magic bubble soap.
On their adventure, the pair will have to explore several distinct WishWorlds, from a cowboy-inspired universe to a prehistoric one, all filled with familiar characters and plenty of danger to overcome.
