Developer Turtle Flip Studio has announced Which Way Up: Galaxy Games, a new family-friendly party game coming to PC and Nintendo Switch.

The game focuses on the Celestial Space Sprites, who banded together to see the creation of the universe and space, founding the Galaxy Games while waiting.

The Galaxy Games are composed of several events that feature bite-sized challenges that up to four players can compete in. Events may require you to eject friends into space while racing across gravity fields, jump across planets to escape black holes, capture zodiac constellations, and score goals with moons.

There are a total of 12 Galaxy Games and seven Space Sprites, and the Sydney-based studio promises “hours of fun for family and friends of all ages”.

Nick Cellini, Turtle Flip Studio’s Director, said: “Nintendo Switch was always a consideration for us as its multiplayer focus and easy to pick-up-and-play style lends itself perfectly to the platform.”

In addition to announcing the game’s launch for PC and Switch, Turtle Flip Studio has also announced a Kickstarter campaign that will launch later in September that will be used to help add more gameplay features and online multiplayer.

The Kickstarter will also aid in the game’s launch to additional platforms. Backers choosing to support the game can purchase physical merchandise or extra copies of the game, and the first 200 backers receive an early bird discount.

Which Way Up: Galaxy Games will come to Steam and Nintendo Switch in early 2025. A demo, with reduced Space Sprites and Galaxy Games, is available on Steam now.
