Sony Announces Free PlayStation Plus Games For May 2022

Sony has announced the three free games available for PlayStation Plus subscribers for the month of May 2022.

The three games will be available to download for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers from Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, and they include FIFA 22, Tribes Of Midgard, and Curse Of The Dead Gods.

According to the official PlayStation Blog, May’s lineup also includes a bonus FIFA 2022 FUT pack too.

Tribes Of Midgard – PS4 & PS5

Tribes Of Midgard is an action role-playing survival game that launched in July 2021. The game can be played solo or with up to ten players as part of a tribe, and you can choose between the story-based mode or the survival mode. You take on the role of Viking hero Einherjar who must protect the seed of Yggdrasil from various enemies at night. During the day, you’ll need to explore a procedurally-generated world to find and craft new weapons, armour, and defences to attack the increasingly-tougher enemies.

FIFA 22 – PS4 & PS5

FIFA 22 is EA Sports’ latest football simulation game that was released in October 2021. The game allows you to build your dream team in Ultimate Team or embark on the single-player Career Mode wherein you play as a manager or football player across a 250year career. The game features customisable special abilities, HyperMotion Technology, and the ability to create your own virtual character too.

As part of May’s lineup, subscribers can also claim the FUT Pack for FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, which includes 11 players rated 82 or above, and the Icon Moments Loan Player Pick, which allows you to pick between some of the best players in history and add one of three to your squad.

Curse Of The Dead Gods – PS4 & PS5

Curse Of The Dead Gods is a roguelike dungeon crawler game that was released in February 2021. In it, you must navigate three different dungeons in search of eternal life, power, and money, but all dungeons are procedurally generated and filled with enemies and traps. As you explore, you’ll unlock new abilities and upgrades, as well as various weapons to use against the game’s enemies and challenging bosses.

The above games will be available to download from May 3rd, and you’ll have until then to download April 2022’s games SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, Slay The Spire, and Hood: Outlaws & Legends.

Also you’ll have until May 11th to claim Persona 5 from the PS Plus Collection, as it’ll be leaving the library permanently.
