Somber Echoes is a new dark fantasy Metroidvania launching this month

Publisher Bonus Stage Publishing has released a brand-new trailer for their upcoming dark fantasy Metroidvania Somber Echoes.

Developed by Rock Pocket Games and Lav Games, you play as Adrestia who, in the wake of a devastating cataclysm, is revived. Tasked with being the only one capable of stopping her twin sister Harmonia from tearing the universe apart.

You’ll need to master acrobatic combat while navigating labyrinth districts of the once-glorious spacecraft Atromitos – from decaying coliseums to creepy research labs – and unravelling forgotten lore.

You’ll also have to fight off monstrous foes with parries and strikes. To help you, you’ll unlock cosmic powers and various skills that can be used to revisit old paths and discover hidden areas.

Somber Echoes will be released on January 21st, 2025, for PC via Steam. Check out the new teaser trailer below:
