Roguelike Action-Adventure Game The Serpent Rogue To Launch This April
Team17 and developer Sengi Games have announced that their upcoming roguelike action-adventure game The Serpent Rogue is launching on all consoles and PC this April.
The game sees players takes on the role of The Warden who embarks on a quest to save the world from a corruption known as the Serpent Rogue. The player must utilise all of the tools at their disposal to aid The Warden, cleanse the realm, and restore balance to Mount Morbus.
As a roguelike, The Serpent Rogue encourages players to explore the game’s mysterious world in which locations and items are randomised by storms that sweep the land. Players must utilise magic and alchemy to create new tactics and overcome the many threats and challenges created by the corruption.
Players will need to collect and research ingredients to unveil their use in alchemy, and experiment with different mixtures to craft specialised potions that can help on their journey. What’s more, The Warden has an effect on the wider world; if too many items are left littered around, rodents will arrive to cause havoc; if bodies are left unburied, ghouls will be attracted by their scent and leave death and destruction in their wake.
The Serpent Rogue will launch on April 26th, 2022, for PC via Steam – a demo is available now – and it will release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series consoles. You can check out the trailer below:
