Resident Evil 2, 3, And 7 Saves Will Transfer To New-Gen Consoles
Capcom has confirmed that saves for Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 can be transferred from past-gen consoles to new-gen consoles.
Earlier this month, Capcom announced the release of new-gen upgrades for Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes. As we reported, the upgrades will allegedly include visual enhancements, faster load times, improved frame rates, and console-specific features.
In a new tweet shared today, Capcom also revealed that player save data from past-gen consoles – PlayStation 4 and Xbox One – will carry over to the upgraded PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of the games.
Capcom also confirmed that save data DLC from Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will also transfer to new-gen consoles.
The new-gen upgrades will be available for free to players who already own each game for PS4 and Xbox One consoles, and Capcom has confirmed it’ll release a free PC upgrade patch too.
There’s no official date on when the new-gen upgrades will launch, but Capcom has stated that they’ll release at some point this year.
