Remedy Entertainment has officially confirmed that Control 2 is in development for PC and current-gen consoles.

The development studio announced earlier today (November 11th) that it has signed a co-development and co-publishing agreement with 505 Games for the sequel – previously Codename Heron.

As part of the announcement, Remedy also confirmed that the sequel will have an expanded budget of €50 million – up €20 million from the original 2019 game – and that it’ll retain ownership of the IP.

The sequel will use Remedy’s Northlight engine, and it’s expected to launch on PC where it’ll be published by Remedy and on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles published by 505 Games.

Although the game is currently in concept stage, Remedy Entertainment did share a piece of concept art offering a look at what looks like a room within the Oldest House.

Control 2 is one of the many projects Remedy Entertainment is currently working on, alongside Alan Wake 2 and a multiplayer spin-off dubbed Condor.
