Paradox Interactive Announces Brand-New Cities: Skylines DLC
Paradox Interactive and developer Colossal Order have announced new DLC for Cities: Skylines.
The brand-new expansions are part of the Cities: Skylines ‘World Tour’, a series of DLC packs and updates inspired by regions from around the world.
The first wave of DLC will release on November 15th and includes two Content Creator Packs, two Radio Stations, and a free update.
Heart Of Korea is a Content Creator Pack by Elvis, which draws inspiration from South Korean cities and features 60 new assets, including unique structures and service buildings. The Skyscrapers Content Creator Pack, by Feinbold, includes 15 skyscrapers influenced by “iconic high rises from all over the world”. Both packs are priced at £4.79/€5.99/$5.99.
The two new Radio Stations available this month include the K-Pop and 80’s Downtown Beat Stations, which will both be available for £2.89/€3.99/$3.99.
Meanwhile, the free update adds new content to the base game and After Dark, Plazas & Promenades, and Snowfall expansions. The new content includes different capacity vehicles as well as roads.
The second wave of DLC will be available next month on December 13th, and includes the mini-expansion Financial Districts, which will allow you to implement financial districts into your cities. It also introduces a new “investment” feature into the game as well as over 100 assets.
The expansion will be joined by Map Pack 2, which adds 10 new maps with differing biomes, as well as the African Vibes Radio Station.
The third wave of DLC will launch in 2023, and it will include fourth Radio Station JADIA (Just Another Day In Africa) as well as the Africa In Miniature Content Creator Pack developed in collaboration with independent Nigerian content creators Emmanuel Bassey and Setonji “Prince Set” Hotonu.
The pack is influenced by Cameroon’s geography and introduces over 40 buildings inspired by the region’s “unique architectural concepts”.
Alongside all of the above new content, Cities: Skylines will be free to try on Steam between November 10th and 14th. You can wishlist all upcoming DLC on Steam too.
News of the above content comes a week after Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order announced a VR version of Cities: Skylines for PS VR2.
