Netflix Announces Stranger Things VR For Winter 2023
Netflix and developer Tender Claws have announced Stranger Things VR.
The game, which was announced yesterday (November 6th) as part of Stranger Things Day, has been described as a “psychological horror action game” in which you play as Vecna – the main villain in the show’s latest fourth season – and explore the Upside Down.
A description issued by Netflix reads: “Play as Vecna in this new Stranger Things adventure in virtual reality. Become an explorer of unknown realities as you form the hive mind and tame the void. Invade minds and conjure nightmares in your quest to enact revenge on Eleven and Hawkins.”
A brief trailer shared alongside the announcement offers a glimpse at some gameplay, as well as a closer look at the Upside Down, some Demogorgons, and Eleven.
The game will launch on “major virtual reality platforms” in Winter 2023, although no specific VR headsets were confirmed.
