Meridiem Games Announces Physical Deluxe Edition Of Song Of Horror
Meridiem Games has announced the release of a physical deluxe edition of Song Of Horror for the PS4.
The independent company, which produces and distributes video games for multiple platforms, announced the news this week, revealing that a special boxed edition of the critically acclaimed horror game will release in Europe and Australia on July 20, 2021.
Song Of Horror, developed by Protocol Games and published by Raiser Games, is a cinematic third-person horror adventure game inspired by horror authors M.R. James, Edgar Allan Poe, and H.P. Lovecraft.
The game’s story follows the disappearance of famed writer Sebastian P. Husher and his family, which sparks a horrifying chain of events that lead to the discovery of an incomprehensible being known as The Presence, which seems to be at the centre of everything.
Song Of Horror is played across five episodes in various locations and features several playable characters, all of which have their own unique point of view to the investigation that allows them to approach clues and items differently.
Characters can permanently die, and players must continue the game and investigation with another playable character.
The Presence, controlled by an advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence), will adapt to player decisions and playstyle, hunting players down in unexpected ways for unique experiences where tension builds naturally rather than from scripted sequences.
The physical deluxe edition will feature a special artwork sleeve, a map where players can note clues they find throughout the game, and a character guide that explains each character’s ability and their relationship to the story.
Song Of Horror’s physical PS4 edition will release on July 20, 2021, and it can be purchased via Meridiem Games from select retailers across Europe and Australia. Watch the trailer for Song Of Horror below:
