Loretta Is A Psychological Thriller Game Launching Next Month

Loretta

Dangen Entertainment has announced a PC release date for psychological thriller game, Loretta.

Developed by a team of two – Yakov Butuzov and Daria Vodyanaya – the 2D noir point-and-click game is inspired by the works of Alfred Hitchcock, Stephen King, and Vladimir Nabokov.

Set in a small American town in the 1940s, the game follows housewife Loretta who is dragged from New York City to a small, dilapidated farmhouse to follow her writer husband, Walter. After learning of his infidelity and a life insurance policy filed in his name, Loretta begins to plan his murder, and it’s up to you to decide whether she follows it.

You’re tasked with deciding Loretta’s actions through dialogue and interacting with objects, and influencing how far she follows her plot of murder. The game is split into several chapters that jump back and forth in time as well as cryptic puzzles that can be solved to learn more about Loretta’s past.

The game comes with several branching paths and endings, which means each replay can play differently depending on the actions you take.

Loretta is available to wishlist on Steam now and will release on February 16th. It will launch on consoles at a later date.
