Kirby’s Dream Buffet To Launch Next Week On The Nintendo Switch

Kirby's Dream Buffet

Nintendo has announced an official release date for its upcoming party game, Kirby’s Dream Buffet.

The spin-off game was announced last month by Nintendo, just months after the launch of platformer Kirby And The Forgotten Land.

As announced today (August 11th) on Twitter, the game will launch on Wednesday, August 17th, on the Nintendo eShop priced at £13.49 / €14.99 / US$14.99.

It sees you and up to three other Kirbies partake in a Gourmet Grand Prix of four courses in which you race, complete minigames, and battle across several desert-themed courses.

The courses include a race across a mountain where you must roll down the track and eat as many strawberries as possible to grow and roll faster while avoiding bad foods to keep up your momentum. After this, there’s a minigame in which you must jump and bump into rivals while consuming as many strawberries as possible.

Another race will follow the minigame before you and the other players partake in a Battle Royale stage where you must knock opponents off the stage to consume their strawberries while saving your own. After completing all four courses, the heaviest of the four Kirbies wins.

The game includes various unlockable costumes as well as Copy Foods, which allow Kirby to transform into various foods that can knock enemies aside, blast obstacles, and more. It also supports co-op play on the same console, and local and online multiplier too.

Kirby’s Dream Buffet launches next week on the Nintendo eShop, and you can check out the trailer below:
