Kena: Bridge Of Spirits is coming to Xbox consoles

Indie developer Ember Lab has announced an Xbox release date for its award-winning adventure game Kena: Bridge Of Spirits.

The game, which was released in 2021 for PlayStation and PC, follows young spirit guide Kena as she embarks to the sacred Mountain Shrine and must use her special magical abilities to help the trapped spirits of an abandoned village move on to the spirit world.

Accompanying Kena on her journey are adorable spirit companions Rot, who can be collected around an abandoned village, wear unlockable hats, be used to solve puzzles, and aid Kena in combat with their special Rot Actions and powers.

The Xbox version of the game will include the base game, everything in the Anniversary update, and will include an Xbox-exclusive pirate-themed Rot hats, a unique Kena Staff, and a Golden Rot Skin.

A physical Premium Edition for the Xbox Series X will also be made available with Maximum Entertainment, including the game, a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack, the pirate-themed Rot hats, Golden Rot Skin, and unique Kena Staff.

Josh Grier, the Chief Operating Officer at Ember Lab, said: “We’re thrilled to bring the story of Kena to a new audience on Xbox platforms. As our debut game, Kena means a great deal to everyone at the studio and the team is excited to share Kena’s journey with more players – we hope everyone enjoys meeting Kena and her Rot friends!”

Kena: Bridge Of Spirits will launch on Xbox Series and Xbox One consoles on August 15th for £34.99/€39.99/$39.99 via the Microsoft Store.

The physical Premium Edition of the game will be available at the same price from August 15th at major retailers globally, with pre-orders to be announced soon.
