How To Get The Secret Ending In God Of War Ragnarok

God Of War Ragnarok Secret Ending 11

If you’ve completed the main story in God Of War Ragnarok, you’re likely rounding up the final side bosses and quests or finding all collectables. But did you know there’s a secret ending in God Of War Ragnarok? Find out how to get it right here.

Unlocking The God Of War Ragnarok Secret Ending

The God Of War Ragnarok secret ending can only be unlocked once you’ve completed the game’s main story and final mission; The Realms At War. Once completed, the A Viking Funeral favour side quest will be available to you, acting as the main ending to the game. To start the quest, you’ll need to head to Raeb’s tavern in Svartalfheim.

Travel to the Nidavellir Mystic Gateway, and after arriving follow the path through the village towards a tavern door. Inside, Lunda, Raeb, and Durlin can be found discussing Brok. Interact with Brok’s body on the nearby table to proceed with the quest, allowing Kratos to pay his respects.

The group then inform you that they’re planning on holding a funeral at Sverd Sands, an island on Svartalfheim you passed at the beginning of the game after escaping with Tyr from his prison by ferry.

How To Get To Sverd Sands

To continue the quest, you’ll need to travel to Sverd Sands. Head back to the Nidavellir Mystic Gateway, and then fast travel to the Aurvangar Wetlands Mystic Gateway at the beginning of the Svartalfheim area.

When you arrive, take an immediate left and follow the area along until you reach a dock with a ferry. Interact with the switch to pull the ferry towards Sverd Sands, and when it stops you should see Lunda, Raeb, and Durlin waiting for you.

Simply head towards Brok’s body and interact with it to start the funeral, and then watch the cutscene commemorating Brok.

When the funeral ends, the screen should fade to black and the game’s full credits will roll. When finished, you’ll have unlocked the God Of War Ragnarok secret ending and should have triggered the silver Funeral For A Friend trophy.

That’s it! With that done, you’ll be free to continue cleaning up the nine realms. While you’re here, why not take a look at our God Of War Ragnarok boss order guide?
