How Many Caryll Runes Are In Bloodborne?
Bloodborne has special equipable items known as Caryll Runes that provide you with various stat or in-game boosts, which you’ll need to face Bloodborne’s challenging bosses. There are a total of 66 basic Runes – including the more advanced tiers of the same rune – and there are an additional six covenant runes that can only be acquired by completing certain quests. Below, you’ll find a list of all base runes and covenant runes along with information on how to obtain them all.
How To Use And Equip Caryll Runes In Bloodborne
Before you can use Caryll Runes in Bloodborne, you’re going to need to unlock them by obtaining the Rune Workshop Tool. The item can be found at Hemwick Charnel Lane in the room accessible directly after killing the Witch Of Hemwick boss. Once obtained, you’ll unlock the Memory Alter in the house at the Hunter’s Dream.
To equip a rune, all you need to do is visit the Hunter’s Dream, head inside the house to the Memory Alter, and then select which you want to use. It’s important to note that you can only equip three generic runes and one covenant rune at any given time, and they can only be swapped at the Hunter’s Dream.
You can stack multiple tiers of the same rune, which can be handy if you’re looking to acquire lots of Blood Echoes or farm for items.
