Hogwarts Legacy Developer Confirms No Plans For DLC Right Now

Hogwarts Legacy DLC

Developer Avalanche Software has confirmed that there are no plans for Hogwarts Legacy DLC.

In an interview with IGN for Fan Fest yesterday (February 17th), game director Alan Tew explained that the development team doesn’t currently have any plans for DLC as they were busy preparing the game for its launch.

“We’ve been really heads down bringing [Hogwarts Legacy] to life,” Tew told IGN, “so at the moment there are no current plans for DLC.”

Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 10th, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles, after a delay from Winter 2022. The past-gen and Nintendo Switch versions of the game were delayed to April 4th, 2023, and July 25th, 2023.

Since its release, the game has been subject to scrutiny for its involvement with Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling and her views on transgender people, but the game has broken several records, becoming the most-watched single-player game of all time by peak viewers on Twitch.

While there are current DLC plans, Avalanche Software has been working to release a slew of patches to fix various bugs and performance issues for the game on all platforms.
