Here Are The 11 New PS VR2 Games Announced For 2023
PlayStation has announced a total of 11 brand-new games launching for the PS VR2 in 2023.
Today, PlayStation revealed the official launch date and price of the PS VR2 unit, and announced 11 games that are planned to launch in 2023 for the peripheral.
Alongside Horizon Call Of The Mountain and Resident Evil Village, 2023 will see the launch of new games:

- Crossfire: Sierra Squad
- The Light Brigade
- Cities VR – Enhanced Edition
- Cosmonious High
- Hello Neighbor: Search And Rescue
- Jurassic World Aftermath Collection

The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Switchback VR is similar to the original PSVR’s Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood. Set in the world of The Dark Pictures: Anthology series, and like Rush Of Blood, the game sees you attempt to survive a thrilling roller coaster ride where you must confront the distorted apparitions of a ghost ship, battle demon incarnations of witches from 17th century New England, fight other-wordly vampires trapped beneath a desert, and escape a serial killer at the World’s Fair Hotel.
The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR will release in Spring 2023.
Crossfire: Sierra Squad
Crossfire: Sierra Squad is a first-person shooter in which you play as the leader of the fire team in the midst of a war over a recently-discovered top-secret biochemical weapon. Set in the Crossfire world, the game features over 60 campaign missions as well as several modes; Arcade, Realism, and Hardcore, and it includes several weapons that you can use against any of the game’s 17 enemy types.
Crossfire: Sierra Squad is expected to launch in 2023.
The Light Brigade
The Light Brigade is a single-player roguelike set in a ruined world where you’re the last line of defence against the oncoming darkness. You’re tasked with enlisting in the ranks of the Light Brigade and embarking on a journey across the Sunken World to explore its procedurally-generated environments of graveyards, mountains, and forests. Fight enemies with unique firearms and spells, and piece together shattered memories to uncover the mystery behind the world’s downfall.
The Light Brigade will release in 2023, with pre-orders available from November 15th.
Cities VR – Enhanced Edition
Cities VR – Enhanced Edition is a VR adaptation of Cities: Skylines in which you’re tasked with building and managing a city. The VR version offers a bird’s eye view of your city, through which you can watch the city as it comes alive. There’s been no word on whether the game will include any of the DLC released so far for Cities: Skylines.
Cities VR – Enhanced Edition will be available to pre-order from November 15th.
Cosmonious High
Developed by the creators of Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator, Cosmonious High is a single-player adventure game that sees you play as Prismi, a rare alien species that can “adapt to any situation”. After crashing into a school filled with unique characters, you’re tasked with restoring Cosmonious High to its former glory.
Cosmonious High will be available for pre-order from November 15th.
Hello Neighbor: Search & Rescue
Hello Neighbor: Search & Rescue is a survival horror game that sees tasks you with returning to Mr. Peterson’s home to free a friend that’s being held captive in a basement prison. You’ll need to master several unique abilities, solve puzzles, and uncover mysteries, all while trying to avoid Mr. Peterson and other adversaries.
Hello Neighbor: Search & Rescue will launch simultaneously for PS VR and PS VR2, with pre-orders available from November 15th.
Jurassic World Aftermath Collection
Jurassic World Aftermatch Collection is a compilation of the first and second Jurassic World Aftermath stealth games. Set between Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, players crash land on Isla Nublar and must recover valuable information while attempting to evade the island’s terrifying dinosaurs. The game features the voice talent of Laura Bailey and Jeff Goldblum.
Jurassic World Aftermath Collection will launch in 2023, no trailer was shared.
Pistol Whip
Pistol Whip is an action-rhythm game in which you’re tasked with blasting, ducking, and dodging your way to victory. An enhanced version of the original Pistol Whip for PS VR, the game comes with “more depth and dimension” thanks to the PS VR2’s headset and haptic feedback, with all weapons offering unique sensations.
The PS VR2 version will be available as a free upgrade for owners of the original PS VR version when it launches in 2023.
Zenith: The Last City
Zenith: The Last City is a VR massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that is available on PS VR and other VR headsets. It will be launching on PS VR2 as a “first day launch title”, although developer Ramen VR has confirmed that the PS VR2 edition will come with “hundreds of hours of new content”, as well as graphical updates, an epic new storyline, new gameplay systems, and more.
Zenith: The Last City will launch alongside PS VR2 and pre-orders will be available from November 15th.
After The Fall
After The Fall is a co-op shooter set in a post-apocalyptic version of Los Angeles. Play solo or with a team of three players from a survivor camp shared by 32 players at a time, and venture into the city to take on hordes of mutants and terrifying bosses. Utilise guns and other weapons against the enemies, all the while experiencing the PS VR2’s headset and haptic feedback. The game will support cross-platform multiplayer with the Oculus Quest.
After The Fall will launch in 2023 for PS VR2.
Tentacular
The final game announced today (November 2nd) was Tentacular a physics-based adventure game that follows a gigantic but good-hearted tentacled beast that is “trying to figure out its place in the world” after being raised amongst humans on the island of La Kalma. The game includes a heartwarming story, plenty of humour, numerous puzzles to solve, and more.
Tentacular will be available to pre-order from November 15th.
