Hellblade II release date, Avowed new gameplay, and Indiana Jones detailed in 2024 Xbox Showcase
Xbox held its first Developer Digital showcase of 2024 earlier today, offering a look into some of the games coming within the next year.
Obsidian Games made an appearance in the showcase, offering a deeper look at the gameplay in Avowed, including dialogue choices, the gun and magic gameplay, and some of the colourful biomes you’ll get to explore throughout the story.
The studio also confirmed a fall 2024 release date window for the game.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II by Ninja Theory was featured, with a dive into some of the cinematic gameplay you can expect in the game as well as a behind-the-scenes look into its development.
Xbox also confirmed a May 2024 release date for the game, with it launching on Xbox Series consoles, PC and with Game Pass as a digital-only title, as spotted by VGC.
Square Enix offered a look at Visions Of Mana, a new mainline Mana game that is the first to include a sprawling 3D world. The showcase offered a deep look into the action RPG’s gameplay of finding and collecting monsters, battling them, and exploring a rich world.
Visions Of Mana is expected to launch on Xbox this summer.
Oxide Games then offered a look at its upcoming Ara: History Untold, a turn-based, historical strategy game that aims to “push the boundaries of what is expected” within a strategy game.
Ara: History Untold launches in fall 2024 for Windows and Steam, and PC Game Pass.
Finally, MachineGames unveiled Indiana Jones And The Great Circle, their upcoming first-person game featuring the likeness of Harrison Ford.
The game, which is set between the events of The Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, releases later this year on Xbox, PC, and Game Pass, and sees you uncover one of the greatest mysteries of all time.
