Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines has been pushed back a month to September, developer Medallion Games and publisher Super Rare Originals have announced.

The upcoming action platformer, which was announced back in May, was initially set to launch on August 15th but has been delayed so the game “gets the final touches of polish it deserves”.

George Perkins, the ‘Head of Doing Stuff’ at Super Rare Games, said: “The dynamic duo in Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines are almost ready to swing across the finish line!

“We know how excited players are to get their hands on the sequel to the original top-rated Grapple Dog, and we’re asking them to hold onto that excitement for a little bit longer, but we’re pawsitive the extra time will be worth it to ensure players get the best possible experience.”

As we covered earlier this year, Cosmic Canines is the sequel to 2022’s Grapple Dogs, and it sees Pablo team up with new pooch Luna as they embark on a mission to save the cosmos.

Play as both Pablo with his returning grappling hook and Luna with her ranged weaponry as you travel across dimensions and new, vibrant worlds filled with tons of levels, collectables, secret areas, boss battles, and more.

Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines will now launch on September 12th for PC, Xbox Series consoles, and Nintendo Switch.
