God Of War Ragnarok Launches This November, Pre-Order Editions Announced
Santa Monica Studio has finally confirmed a release date for God Of War Ragnarok.
After last week’s Twitter outrage, PlayStation and developer Santa Monica Studio have revealed that God Of War Ragnarok, the sequel to 2018’s critically acclaimed God Of War, will be launching on November 9th, 2022, for PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles.
The launch date was announced on the PlayStation Blog alongside the release of a new CG trailer showcasing some of the dangers Atreus and Kratos will face as Ragnarok – the end of the world in Norse mythology – approaches.
God Of War Ragnarok Pre-Order Details
In addition to all of the above, PlayStation and Santa Monica Studio confirmed that pre-orders for the game will be going live on July 15th, 2022 at 3 PM BST / 4 PM CET / 10 AM ET.
There are several editions available, all of which have been detailed with images in the PlayStation Blog. They include the Standard Edition, which comes with a copy of the game for either PlayStation 4 or 5, with the ability to upgrade from the PS4 version to the PS5 version for £10 or currency equivalent.
There will be a Launch Edition, which includes the game and the Kratos Risen Snow Armour and Atreus Risen Snow Tunic cosmetic DLC given as a voucher code. Both outfits can be unlocked via story progression in the game.
The Digital Deluxe Edition will include a copy of the game for either console, as well as the Kratos Darkdale Armour, the Atreus Darkdale Attire, the Darkdale Blades Handles for the Blades Of Chaos, the Darkdale Axe Grip for the Leviathan Axe, a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack, a Dark Horse digital mini artbook, an Avatar set, and a PlayStation 4 theme.
The Collector’s Edition includes all of the bonuses from the Digital Deluxe Edition as well as a steelbook display case, 2″ Vanir Twins carings, a set of dwarven dice, and a 16″ replica of Mjolnir, all coming in the Knowledge Keeper’s Shrine box that depicts Giant Sorceress Gróa, who was the first to have a vision of Ragnarok.
Finally, the Jotnar Edition includes all items from the Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as a 7″ vinyl record with music by composer Bear McCreary, the Falcon, Bear, and Wolf pin set, a replica of the Legendary Draupnir Ring in a red cloth bag, Brok’s dice set, a Yggdrasil cloth map, a steelbook display case, and the Vanir Twin carvings and Mjolnir replica.
