505 Games and One More Level have announced an October release date for Ghostrunner 2 and unveiled pre-order details.
The upcoming first-person cyberpunk slasher game is a sequel to 2020’s Ghostrunner, and it will launch for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox Series consoles on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
In addition to announcing the game’s launch date, 505 Games and One More Level have announced pre-orders with three versions of the game available:
- Base Edition (Digital and physical): Pre-orders receive the Traditional Katana Pack, which includes two sword and hand skins
- Deluxe Edition (Digital only): Includes everything from the Base Edition as well as four extra hand and sword skins, and a personalised hand hologram displaying players’ current username
- Brutal Edition (Digital only): Includes everything from the Deluxe Edition as well as 48-hour early access from October 24th, the Season Pass worth £14.99, and a motorcycle skin
The Season Pass includes a new game mode and four asset packs and can be purchased separately.
Set one year after the events of the original, Ghostrunner 2 sees the Ghostrunner embark on a mission to combat the violent AI cult assembled outside Dharma Tower, where the remainder of mankind is housed.
You’ll need to use your katana to fight enemies and challenging bosses, all while exploring the futuristic world by wall-running, sliding, dashing, climbing, and grappling through interactive environments and nonlinear levels.
The game comes with new game modes, a revamped progression system, a new dialogue system, and motorcycle combat too.
