Free Gotham Knights Update Adds Heroic Assault And Showdown Modes

Gotham Knights Heroic Assault

Warner Bros. Games Montréal has released a new update for Gotham Knights, adding the eagerly awaited Heroic Assault and Showdown modes to the game.

Announced before the game’s launch in October, Heroic Assault is an online co-op mode in which players team up in groups of four and venture below Gotham to take on hordes of enemies and complete challenges across 30 floors.

As revealed in the game’s trailer, the update also introduces highly-advanced extraterrestrial lifeform Starro, the Conquerer, who seems to be controlling the enemies within the mode, including the formidable half-human/half-bat hybrid Man-Bat.

Alongside adding Heroic Assault, the brand-new update introduces the Showdown mode, a two-player co-op mode in which you can take on supercharged versions of the game’s villains. Defeating them will unlock legendary gear blueprints and unique suits and colourways.

Heroic Assault is available after completing the game’s fifth Case File, and Showdown is available once all of the game’s bosses have been defeated.

Alongside adding the two new modes, today’s update has also added new gear and transmogs, introduced several bug fixes and made some balancing changes to the game too. You can check the patch notes here for more information.

Gotham Knights is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles. You can check out our review of the game here and watch the trailer for the new gameplay modes below.
