Evil Dead: The Game

Evil Dead: The Game has been delayed once again, receiving a new release date of May 2022.

When the game was first announced at The Game Awards 2020, it held a release date of 2021 but was delayed in August 2021 to February 2022 to allow developer Saber Interactive to polish the game and implement a single-player option.

Yesterday (January 28th), Saber Interactive announced another delay, this time to May 13th, 2022, with which the studio hopes to a game “worth of the Evil Dead franchise” and to deliver the “best possible experience”. In a series of follow-up tweets, the game’s official Twitter account said:

“This delay gives our team the time they need to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites on that Friday the 13th of May. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait too long for more news: stay tuned for pre-order info and a BRAND NEW TRAILER in February.”

When Evil Dead: The Game does release, it will launch for PC, Nintendo Switch, and all PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While waiting for more information, check out the gameplay trailer below:
