Dead Space Remake Has Been Delayed To Early 2023
EA’s Motive Studios has delayed the Dead Space Remake to early 2023.
The studio held a developer livestream yesterday (April 11th) in which they dove into the realistic audio systems that will be used in the remake, including environmental sounds, weapons, and protagonist Isaac.
The Dead Space Remake features the new A.L.I.V.E. system, in which Isaac’s breathing, heart rate, and voice will change depending on gameplay such as his health level and fatigue. Three variations of dialogue have also been recorded for Isaac’s state; injured, normal, and fatigued.
In addition to showcasing the new gameplay and sharing details on the remake’s audio, the studio revealed that the game has been delayed to early 2023 as Motive Studios wants to be in a place where the game will deliver “on the expectations of fans”.
Although the developers have a release date in mind, they decided against showing it but confirmed they’re “just a couple of weeks away from being able to do our first full walkthrough”. The delay was then announced on Twitter.
Motive Studios will hold another developer livestream in May that will offer a deeper look into the game’s art design.
The Dead Space Remake will release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles in early 2023. In the meantime, you can watch the developer livestream below:
