Days Gone Mission List: How Far Are You Into The Game?
Bend Studios’ Days Gone is a long game which follows nomad Deacon St. John as he battles hordes of Freakers while searching for his long lost wife. If you’re playing a game, it’s worth taking a look at our Days Gone mission list to ensure you don’t miss anything.
Days Gone: Storylines and Missions
Days Gone is split into 15 different storylines, all of which are comprised of different missions. These missions can be found in your journal which details the mission’s objective, a short description which offers more information on said mission and storyline, and your overall completion percentage of the storyline the mission is part of. You may even find that some missions are marked as several different storylines, meaning that they progress each of the storylines.
When you complete a mission, you’ll be rewarded Trust Points and Credits with one camp, as well as XP which is used to level Deacon up and acquire new abilities.
Completing missions unlocks new missions and even unlocks new storylines, which is why it’s important to complete as many missions as possible – and that includes side missions. If you don’t have any missions in your journal, you’ll need to drive around Oregon until someone calls you on the radio and triggers a new mission – this is usually done outside of camps.
How Many Missions Are In Days Gone?
In total, there are 158 missions in Days Gone, including optional or side missions. All of the missions in the game are of varying length, with some being incredibly short and others being somewhat longer.
It’s important to point out that you will need to complete all of the missions in the game to complete all storylines within the game and unlock the game’s platinum trophy.
Days Gone: Can You Miss Missions?
Yes. There are several missions that you can miss while playing through Days Gone, but none of these missions contribute towards your game’s 100% completion. In fact, most of the missions you can miss are those which involve Deacon visiting Sarah’s grave since they tend to be based around important story beats, and progressing the game’s story will override each of Deacon’s reflections with Sarah.
This means you can miss out or skip the missions involving Sarah’s grave and continue with the main storyline. In addition, you can also skip out on some of Colonel Garret’s speeches towards the end of the game, but again these do not contribute to your game’s completion percentage.
Now you know how missions and storylines work in Days Gone, it’s time to take a look at a complete list of all the missions in the game. Take a look at them below.
Is Days Gone worth playing?

Days Gone Mission List For The Secret Ending
After you’ve rescued Sarah and have taken down Colonel Mathew Garret and the Deschutes County Militia, you’ll be given a few extra missions to tidy up loose ends. These missions can be slightly annoying to trigger as you’ll need to be out of the encampments and must wait to get called on your walkie-talkie. The game will end with a “secret ending” featuring O’Brien, a mission which seemingly teases a sequel…

How long is Days Gone?

Are there rewards for completing Days Gone storylines?
Yes! Whenever you complete a storyline, you’ll unlock some new gear for your bike as well as crafting weapons.
How do I access the Days Gone secret ending?
The Days Gone secret ending is unlocked once you’ve completed the main storyline. From there, you’ll need to complete a few more missions before receiving a call from O’Brien who wants to meet with you one last time…
Is there a Days Gone mission complete percentage?
There is no Days Gone mission complete percentage but the game does tell you how far along you are in completing storylines. You can check your storyline percentage tracker to inform you of how far you are from completing each storyline.
Help! I’ve got no missions in Days Gone. What do I do?
When playing Days Gone, you may occasionally run into a bug where the game will give you no missions. If this happens, you’ll need to drive around the open-world for a little while, eventually triggering a main mission. You can occasionally use this time to complete side activities or missions.
