After several months of waiting, developer Crystal Dynamics has shared a first official look at Spider-Man in Marvel’s Avengers.

A year after announcing that Spider-Man would be coming to Marvel’s Avengers as a PlayStation exclusive, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have today (November 10th) shared the official first image of the infamous wallcrawler.

The official Marvel’s Avengers Twitter account shared artwork for the upcoming Spider-Man With Great Power Hero Event, showcasing Spider-Man amongst several other of the game’s heroes.

A trailer of Spider-Man and his upcoming Hero Event will release tomorrow (November 11th), offering a deeper look into the character and his “character-driven story” that, according to Crystal Dynamics, celebrates “authentic Marvel heroism in a cinematic campaign”.

A synopsis of the Spider-Man DLC reads: “Peter Parker uncovers AIM’s new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable. He must partner with the Avengers to stop this looming threat, and forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow while keeping his identity hidden.

“As a Hero accustomed to working solo, he struggles with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full-time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?”

The Spider-Man With Great Power DLC releases November 30th for PS4 and PS5 consoles.
