Cities: Skylines Gets New Plazas And Promenades DLC Pack
Paradox Interactive has announced a brand-new DLC pack for Cities: Skylines; Plazas And Promenades.
The brand-new DLC pack was announced today (August 22nd) and focuses on pedestrianisation, and includes numerous gameplay additions. Firstly, the DLC will allow you to place pedestrianised streets in your city – just like you would with other roads – devoid of vehicles and pollution.
Alongside the above, the pack adds three zone-specific policies; Slow Driving, where all roads in a pedestrian zone except highways are imposed a 20 miles per hour speed limit; Sugar Ban, which increases the average lifespan of citizens within a pedestrian zone but decreases happiness; and Street Music, which increases happiness and noise pollution in pedestrian commercial zones.
There are now three new district specialisations too; offices, high-density residential areas, and high-density commercial zones. Setting a specialisation will force all zoned squares within that district to spawn buildings with different appearances and a gameplay effect.
Finally, the pack adds 24 new modern wall-to-wall buildings as well as new city service buildings, which can be connected to pedestrian zones to match their visual style.
Joining the Plazas And Promenades DLC pack are two new content creator packs; Mid-Century Modern by REVO, which offers sleek and stylish residential growable buildings; and Seaside Resorts by Géze, which adds boulevards and piers.
Alongside all of the above, Paradox Interactive is also launching two new radio stations; Paradise Radio and Shoreline Radio.
All of the above can be bought separately or as part of the Plazas And Promenades Bundle priced at a 15% discount. The new DLC will be available for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles when it launches soon.
