CD Projekt Red Releases Cyberpunk 2077 PS5, Xbox Series Update
Developer CD Projekt Red has released its new-gen update for Cyberpunk 2077.
The update has been released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles as patch 1.5, and it was first hinted at when the studio announced a special Cyberpunk 2077 Twitch stream yesterday, where the team showcased new footage of the game running on new-gen consoles.
According to CD Projekt Red, the new-gen patch adds ray-traced local shadows for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. It also provides players with two modes to play in; Performance at 60 frames-per-second with dynamic 4K scaling, and Ray-Tracing at 30 frames-per-second in 1440p with dynamic resolution scaling.
The new patch has also updated HDR across all platforms, added Activity Cards as well as DualSense support via haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for the PlayStation 5. In addition, the patch has added spatial headphone audio to the PlayStation 5 and has improved crowd reactions on all new-gen consoles.
In addition to the above, patch 1.5 contains various improvements to the game, numerous quest and gameplay fixes, and free DLCs. Firstly, players can now rent one of four apartments and customise V’s starting apartment in Megabuilding H10.
Some interactions in apartments provide a temporary buff, and players can now also customise their hair, makeup, piercings, and more via the mirrors in apartments and safehouses.
Outside, combat AI has been improved along with crowd behaviour and driving. CD Projekt Red has also made several balance changes, added improvements to cyberware, combat, perks, and so much more.
The full list of changes the brand new patch brings to all consoles can be read over on the official Cyberpunk 2077 website.
Finally, alongside the new update, CD Projekt Red has released a five-hour demo for all users, which is available until March 15th. Check out some of the new-gen gameplay below:
