Bethesda Has Delayed Starfield And Redfall To 2023
Publisher Bethesda today announced that it’s delayed upcoming games Starfield and Redfall to 2023.
The delay was announced on Bethesda’s official Twitter, where the publisher giant revealed that it’s delayed both games to the first half of 2023, although no official dates for either game were shared.
The statement reads: “The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them.
“We want to thank everyone for their excitement for Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a huge part of what inspires all of us every day and drives our own excitement for what we are creating. We can’t wait to share our first deep dive into the gameplay for both Redfall and Starfield soon.”
Starfield was scheduled to release on November 11th, 2022, exactly ten years after the release of Skyrim. Redfall, meanwhile, had no release date, and we’ve seen little gameplay of both titles, which led fans to speculate on a major update shared over the summer.
News of the delay comes ahead of Microsoft’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, which will premiere on June 12th, 2022. Right now, it’s unclear whether Starfield and Redfall will appear at the showcase.
