Indie 2D Shooter Remote Life To Launch Later This Month For Consoles

Remote Life 1

Indie developer Next Game Level has announced that its upcoming retro shooter ’em up game Remote Life is launching later this month for consoles.

The 2D side-scrolling shooter launched for PC in October 2019 and is finally coming to consoles this month. It’s set in the future, where a huge and menacing alien hive is approaching the protagonist’s planet and the only way to defeat it is by destroying the hive from the inside.

Remote Life features 16 missions, including special escort and open-world exploration missions that take in large spaces. It includes a slew of dangerous enemies with aggressive AI and several fierce alien bosses to take on.

The game includes over 20 weapons to utilise throughout the journey, three customisable spaceships, and three graphics modes to choose from; HD modern graphics or 8-bit or 16-bit graphics.

There are also in-game bonuses to enjoy, including an art and video gallery, wallpapers, 3D printable models, and more, and the game has a special bonus wherein you can play as an enemy and customise your own alien.

Remote Life is launching on the Nintendo Switch and all PlayStation and Xbox consoles ahead of the release of its sequel, Remote Life 2: Fearless this December. Check out the announcement trailer below:
