New Trailer For The Sims 4’s For Rent Expansion Offers A Look At Life As A Property Owner
A brand-new trailer for The Sims 4’s For Rent expansion has been released by EA and Maxis, offering a closer look at life as a property owner,
The three-minute gameplay trailer explains how you can make additional income by splitting a property into several units that can be rented out to tenants. Units have a new pop-up menu, with details on their size, value, and number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
Properties can be completely customised, including the implementation of shared spaces so tenants can “get to know each other”. The better decorated the unit is, the better its rating and the more renters you’ll attract.
Landlords will need to use the tenant agreement tool to manage rental units, allowing you to set parameters for each unit, including the rent due per day, lease length, rules (No social events, no loud noises, maximum occupancy, no trash overload, and no ghosts are some spotted in the trailer), and more.
Rental units can be filled by checking tenant applications, which allows you to see each Sims’ details to check if they’re a good fit for the unit.
Later, the video covers the process of collecting late rent (Give tenants a rent demand or repossess their stuff!) and evicting tenants.
The Sims 4 For Rent launches December 7th for PC via the EA app, Mac via Origin, the Epic Games Store, and Steam, and on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
Alongside introducing the renting system, the expansion also adds a brand-new world: Tomarang, which has been described as a “bustling world in a lush tropical landscape”.
If you purchase the pack by January 18th, you can enjoy the Street Eats digital content, which includes a Quick Treats Grill, Streetside Stars Shade parasol, and a Peak Freshness Fruit Basket.
