Sony Reveals Install Size Of Miles Morales Spider-Man And Demon’s Souls PS5 Games
Following its thunderous game showcase earlier this week, Sony has revealed the install size of two upcoming PS5 games; Marvel’s Miles Morales: Spider-Man and Demon’s Souls.
The install size of Demon’s Souls and the two versions of Miles Morales; the Ultimate Edition which includes a remastered PS5 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man and the basic edition which includes only Miles Morales, were revealed on the official PlayStation website.
According to the website, Demon’s Souls will take up 66 GB while the base version of Miles Morales will take up 50 GB. The Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales and the remastered Marvel’s Spider-Man will take up 105 GB.
The PlayStation 5 will release with an 825 GB SSD, and it means users who are looking at buying both games will lose between 100 and 200 GB of space, suggesting that game install sizes could pose a problem in the future – luckily you can increase the console’s storage by purchasing a compatible NVMe SSD hard drive.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered On PS5: What’s Different?
According to Insomniac Games, the developers behind 2018’s Spider-Man and the upcoming Miles Morales, the remastered version of Spider-Man includes more detailed textures.
As explained by the studio in a post on the official PlayStation Blog, the remaster, which includes the City That Never Sleeps DLC, will feature “better-looking characters with improved skin, eyes, hair, and facial animation, including our new, next-generation Peter Parker.”
The remaster will also include “ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows, improved lighting, more pedestrians and vehicles stretching further into the distance”. Finally, the update will add near-instant loading, DualSense haptic feedback, 3D audio, new trophies, suits, photo mode features, and an optional performance mode which allows you to play at a targeted 60 frames-per-second frame rate.
Sony’s PlayStation 5 will launch on November 19th.
