Slasher Horror Game Suffer The Night Will Launch In April For PC

Suffer The Night

Slasher-inspired indie horror game Suffer The Night will launch on April 17th, developer Tainted Pact and publisher Assemble Entertainment have announced.

In the game, you take on the role of Stacey Liden, a painter specialising in horror illustrations in her isolated woods-bound cabin. After receiving an envelope with a mysterious floppy disk containing a text-based adventure game, Stacey boots it up on her personal computer and plays but is soon visited by a mysterious and threatening stranger who urges her to finish the game.

As she continues to play, the strange and horrifying things from the game begin appearing in the real world, and Stacey must face the horrors surrounding her, all while preventing the mysterious stranger from getting in.

Suffer The Night has been teased as having a game within a game with its text-based dungeon crawler, and you’ll be tasked with progressing both games. In the meantime, you’ll need to stay alert as the mysterious stranger appears and causes “interruptions” that you’ll need to address or suffer the terrifying consequences.

A demo of Suffer The Night is available on Steam for PC now, and the game can be wishlisted now. The full game will release on April 17th, 2023 – check out the trailer below:
