Paradox Interactive Announces Cities: Skylines 2, Launching This Year
Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order have announced Cities: Skylines 2, and it’s coming this year.
The game, a sequel to the 2015 original game, was unveiled at the Paradox Interactive Announcement Show, during which a brief CGI trailer was shown, confirming a 2023 release date for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles.
Paradox and Colossal Order were both tight-lipped about what to expect from the game. However, the Steam page for the game suggests the sequel will offer “deep simulation and a living economy” with the city evolving and reacting to your decisions.
The Steam page also claims the game will come with a “dynamic and ever-changing world that is both challenging and rewarding” where you’re tasked with growing a city that will “attract businesses, residents, and tourists alike”.
Cities: Skylines 2 will release later this year for PC and current-gen consoles, and you can expect more information soon. In the meantime, check out the announcement trailer below:
